With over 15 years of experience as a state and federal prosecutor and international human rights lawyer, Jennifer Lea focuses her practice on civil litigation including business, corporate, and construction matters, health care regulation, labor and employment issues, and family law. Drawing on her extensive trial experience in state and federal courts — including numerous judge-alone and jury trials — she advises corporate clients and individuals on potential liability and litigation strategies through clear, practical guidance. In addition, Jennifer represents health care providers in qui tam litigation, white-collar criminal defense, payment and licensing disputes, and fraud and abuse litigation.
Before joining Chambliss, Jennifer held a senior role litigating before the European Court of Human Rights and previously argued cases before the Supreme Courts of Virginia and Tennessee, the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. As a federal prosecutor and senior leader within the Department of War, she oversaw a wide range of matters involving elected officials, corporations, and international criminal activity. She now brings this deep courtroom experience to her civil litigation, family law, and criminal defense practice.
Jennifer is a recipient of numerous accolades, including the Air Force Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal.
