Tom Greenholtz is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Risk Management Section. He maintains a broad and diverse practice that includes advising clients in commercial and business disputes, municipal and governmental affairs, non-profit work, employment litigation, and white-collar criminal defense. He also specializes in areas of constitutional law and policy.

Delivering excellent client service is a vital part of any successful representation. Working as part of the client’s team to help find and develop solutions, Tom approaches each representation with an eye toward being responsive to client needs and by appreciating the expectations of the individual or organization. He works conscientiously, and efficiently, to achieve the client’s specific goals and objectives.

Tom’s main practice focuses on civil litigation, and he has handled complex litigation matters, including class action matters, in courts all over the nation.

Tom has been privileged to advise and support municipal and county governments, and the elected and appointed officials who serve them, in a variety of contexts. He believes that serving our local governments to accomplish their objectives is another way to serve the larger public. Tom approaches his representation of these critical clients with an understanding of their unique powers and responsibilities.

Throughout his practice, Tom has worked closely with businesses and individuals to address issues relating to the employment relationship. Although the laws governing this relationship have grown increasingly complex, Tom works carefully with his clients to find innovative, but practical, solutions to the issues facing both employers and employees.

Tom believes that community service is vital to the growth, improvement, and strength of every community. To this end, he has enjoyed volunteering with and providing legal advice to non-profit and charitable organizations.

Finally, Tom has worked to defend those accused of criminal and regulatory offenses in both state and federal courts. In cases where the stakes are often the highest for any client, he works closely with his clients to ensure that their rights are protected and that their objectives can be accomplished. His experience in these areas has included several high profile cases and he helps clients work through the added pressure of increased media scrutiny.
