Working with clients in a wide variety of industries, Courtney advises on business matters related to mergers and acquisitions, the formation of private investment funds, environmental compliance, private offerings of debt and equity securities, and general business operations. She often works with clients of all sizes, including startups, nonprofits, and tax-exempt entities on entity formation, contract review and preparation, employment-related matters, and raising capital. She also helps with security and privacy issues, including the preparation of privacy statements, policies, and terms of use for websites and mobile applications. Drawing on her education in architecture and global sustainability, Courtney advises real estate clients on brownfield redevelopment, zoning, and environmental issues. Courtney is genuinely interested in her clients' success. She has developed great relationships through her personal approach and consistently offers high-quality results. As a native of Chattanooga and advocate for the community, Courtney is knowledgeable about the local business environment and constantly builds her network for the benefit of the firm and its clients. Prior to joining the firm full-time, Courtney worked with both Chambliss and the Southern Environmental Law Center as a summer associate, as well as with the Federal Highway Administration as an extern. In her undergraduate studies, she was involved in multiple design projects, including the Yamuna River Project, where she helped rethink the riverfront design in New Delhi, India, to address the city's pressing pollution issues and had her studio's design work exhibited at the Swiss Embassy in New Delhi.
