Profile

Brad Davis helps clients manage legal risk and solve problems across the full life cycle of their business operations. He advises clients on workplace issues, regulatory compliance, contracts and business transactions, disputes, and legal implications of emerging technologies. Clients rely on Brad as their outside general counsel, litigation counsel, and practical adviser who understands their business objectives and works to move matters toward resolution.

With more than 20 years of experience, Brad has represented clients of all sizes, from established household names to emerging companies building their brands. His clients operate across a wide range of industries, including equipment and food manufacturing, financial technology, transportation and logistics, artificial intelligence, skin care, flooring, mechanical contracting, and telecommunications.

Before joining Chambliss, Brad practiced in Atlanta at a multinational AmLaw 100 firm where he represented Fortune 500 companies and other clients in matters involving telecommunications, business litigation, and mass torts.

Outside General Counsel and Business Counseling

Serves as outside general counsel to a St. Louis-based fintech payments company, providing ongoing legal counsel from its founding through its Series A financing and beyond. The company now manages payments for more than 9,000 retail locations and has advised on payment ecosystems with more than $60 billion in annual payment volume

Serves as outside general counsel to businesses in industries including third-party logistics, mechanical contracting, and skin care

For more than 11 years, has provided ongoing legal support to the sales and customer relations departments of a national product manufacturer with $1.5 billion in annual sales, including contract drafting, representation in litigation and arbitration, and employee training

Contracts, Commercial Relationships, and Risk Management

Drafts and advises on affiliate marketing arrangements with online influencers, software licensing agreements, NDAs, restrictive covenants, independent contractor agreements, warranty disclaimers, liability limitations, website terms and conditions, and privacy policies

Advised a billion-dollar product manufacturer on the deployment of arbitration agreements to its nationwide network of independent wholesalers, with agreements deployed in 40 states and accepted by nearly 85% of wholesalers

Employment, Restrictive Covenants, and Trade Secrets

Advises and defends businesses on employment issues including discrimination, retaliation, leave, accommodation, reductions in force, employee discipline, and termination

Represents clients in disputes involving noncompetes and other restrictive covenants, trade secret misappropriation, and related business torts

Resolved numerous class and collective actions on behalf of businesses facing claims alleging unpaid wages and worker misclassification

Litigation, Investigations, and Crisis Response

Resolved a federal whistleblower retaliation action alleging waste, fraud, and abuse against a Georgia community service board

Represents businesses in government investigations and enforcement matters, including helping a food producer resume operations following a health department shutdown order

Leads rapid crisis response for clients in matters involving threats of workplace violence and motor vehicle accidents
