Sally Brewer to Present on Dementia Behaviors for Training at The Canopy at Boynton Ridge
Sally Brewer will present on dementia behaviors for a training at The Canopy at Boynton Ridge on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Her presentation, “Understanding Difficult Behaviors in Dementia,” will share insights on describing and observing dementia behaviors, investigating potential causes, creating personalized care plans, and evaluating their effectiveness. Sally will emphasize the importance of professional caregivers understanding the Alzheimer’s disease process and how the behaviors associated with the condition, such as agitation or confusion, can be used to express the individual’s needs, feelings, or discomfort when verbal communication becomes challenging.
As a certified dementia practitioner, Sally is dedicated to offering interactive, educational opportunities for local assisted living communities. The presentation is for the assisted living facility employees only and is not open to the public.
