Kathleen Siciliano to Present on Parental Leave Rights at SETLAW CLE
Kathleen Siciliano will present to the Southeastern Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women (SETLAW) on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Her presentation, “Balancing Act: Navigating Parental Leave Rights in the Modern Workplace,” will cover the current state and legal framework of federal and Tennessee state laws as they pertain to parental leave rights and pregnancy discrimination. Kathleen will also share insight on Title VII, FMLA, TMACLA, and PWFA and discuss the interplay between these laws, providing practical advice for attorneys navigating these issues. This in-person program is open to SETLAW members and non-members and will be submitted for CLE credit.

Kathleen is an associate in Chambliss’ labor and employment section. Her practice is focused on counseling employers of all sizes on matters related to workplace harassment and discrimination, medical and disability leave, discipline and termination, employment agreement, workplace policies, and restrictive covenant agreements, all while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws. Kathleen also advises educational intuitions on issues involving Title IX and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Her experience further extends to advising employers on discrimination or retaliation claims under Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and ADEA. Kathleen is prepared to defend her clients in state and federal courts, and before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, the Occupational Health and Safety Commission, and the Workers’ Compensation Commission.
