Chambliss Promotes Nate Kinard to Shareholder
Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. has elected litigation attorney Nate Kinard as a shareholder of the firm.

Nate has tackled complex, high-stakes litigation as a member of Chambliss’ litigation and risk management group since 2016. His clients — ranging from startups to publicly traded companies — seek his counsel in disputes across the country, often involving sales of goods, large construction projects, manufacturing and distribution contracts, intellectual property, constitutional law, and product liability.
Prior to joining Chambliss, Nate clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has honed his appellate expertise as lead counsel in numerous appeals, teaching CLE courses on Sixth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court cases, serving on the leadership council for the Tennessee Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section, and authoring briefs for amici curiae.
Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch recently recognized Nate for appellate practice, commercial litigation, and product liability litigation – defendants. He serves on the steering committee for the Federalist Society’s Chattanooga chapter. Nate earned a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and political science from Vanderbilt University before attending William & Mary Law School, where he tied for first in his class.
