Cathy Dorvil Inducted as Chattanooga Bar Foundation Fellow
Cathy Dorvil was recently inducted as a Fellow of the Chattanooga Bar Foundation during its 2024 Fellows Luncheon. This honor is awarded to attorneys who have demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to the Chattanooga Bar Association and the community. Additionally, individuals must be nominated by a member of the foundation to be considered.
Cathy’s commitment to her community extends beyond her legal practice. She serves on the Board of Directors for Skyuka Hall, the Chambliss Center for Children, and the Children’s Nutrition Program of Haiti. Her volunteer work at local organizations, such as the Chattanooga Area Food Bank and the Chattanooga Community Kitchen, further demonstrates her dedication. Cathy’s pro bono work, which includes assisting victims of human trafficking and abused women with obtaining orders of protection, is a testament to her compassion and commitment to justice.
Cathy is a shareholder and member of the litigation and risk management section at Chambliss. She is also the recruiting committee chair and the past chair of the firm’s diversity committee. Cathy focuses her practice on commercial litigation and health care and represents clients across the U.S., including educational institutions, municipalities, nonprofits, medical providers, and home health and community-based care organizations. She uses her previous experience in occupational therapy and health care program management to guide the strategies and solutions she tailors for each client, whether it’s navigating a federal audit or resolving a contract dispute.
