Cathy Dorvil Discusses CLDC Impact in EDGE Magazine
EDGE Magazine recently published “CLDC Aims to Build Diversity, Inclusion in Legal Community and Throughout the City,” an article highlighting the Chattanooga Legal Diversity Consortium (CLDC) and their mission to improve minority representation in our local legal community.
Cathy Dorvil, who has been a member of the CLDC since installation of the organization, discusses the CLDC’s impact on the Chattanooga community, including its focus on building diversity, equity and inclusion in the city.
Here’s a snapshot from the article:
“I think this is a good example of how Chattanooga operates, in general — very civic-minded and community-minded. And I don’t think there are many other groups like the CLDC out there like that.”
Dorvil says the Consortium has had a positive impact on the community over the years. Several visiting students have landed full-time jobs — two of them working at Chambliss.
