Chris Poole Inducted as American College of Trial Lawyers Fellow
Chris Poole was recently inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) during the 2024 Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. This honor is awarded to seasoned trial lawyers who excel in advocacy and whose careers reflect the utmost standards of ethics, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. Fellowship is extended by invitation only and membership can never exceed more than one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province.
His distinguished tenure at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Tennessee, where he navigated a myriad of complex cases, fostered his ability to achieve optimal outcomes for clients in the most challenging legal scenarios. Chris is a recipient of numerous accolades, including the American Inns of Court, Brock-Cooper Chapter Civility Award, the Exceptional Service Award from the National Association of Former U.S. Attorneys, and the Executive Office of the U.S. Attorneys Director’s Award for Superior Performance.
Chris takes on complex, high-stakes litigation as a member of Chambliss’ litigation and risk management section. With over 25 years as a federal and state prosecutor, Chris now applies his courtroom knowledge to advocate for clients in civil litigation, family law, and criminal defense. He advises corporate clients and individuals on potential criminal liability and educates them on defense strategies, drawing from his extensive trial experience in state and federal courts. Chris also represents health care providers in qui tam litigation, white-collar criminal defense, payment and licensing disputes, and fraud and abuse litigation.
