Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. welcomes Mitch Barton, who will serve the firm’s corporate and health care practice areas.

With a robust background in corporate and health care law, Mitch assists clients in navigating a wide range of legal matters, including corporate governance, policy development, commercial contract negotiation, and risk management. He also guides clients through health care regulations, providing counsel on regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, HIPAA compliance, licensing, reimbursement, and corporate documentation.
Mitch’s approach to working with clients is characterized by his dedication to delivering practical solutions with creativity and ingenuity. Drawing on his experience as in-house counsel, he offers a unique perspective that allows him to tailor his representation to meet each client’s specific needs. Mitch’s commitment to delivering high-quality results is evident in his track record of successfully managing complex organizational changes, facilitating economic development initiatives, and ensuring ongoing compliance across various sectors.
He was previously recognized as a 40 Under Forty 2020 Honoree by The Business Journal of Tri-Cities Tennessee/Virginia, serves as the secretary for Friends of the O’Brien Watershed, and was a member of the TVA Economic Development Rural Leadership Institute. In addition, he served on the Board of Examiners for the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence. Mitch graduated magna cum laude from Carson-Newman University and summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He is licensed to practice in Tennessee.
