Chambliss Shareholder Bill Pickering Named BTI Client Service All-Star 2023
Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. shareholder William H. Pickering has been recognized as a 2023 Client Service All-Star by The BTI Consulting Group. This annual ranking honors outstanding lawyers nominated by corporate counsel of Fortune 1000 companies and other top legal decision makers. Bill is listed in an exclusive group of only 293 attorneys selected nationwide for defining the standard for client service excellence.
BTI’s 22nd Annual Client Service All-Stars report shares that, “these attorneys continue to step up client service to world-class levels as they [corporate legal decision makers] face the most uncertainty they have seen in their careers — along with some of the most complex and novel issues seen in a generation.”
Chambliss is one of 241 law firms that were also recognized in BTI’s 2023 Client Service A-Team report as one of the firms that “doubled down on client service.”
According to the report, Bill and other All-Stars were singled out by clients for five reasons: providing personalized solutions, offering simplified solutions, making practical decisions, exceptional responsiveness during urgent situations, and outstanding communication. Bill has been named a Client Service All-Star multiple times during his career and was previously named an All-Star MVP for his selection multiple years in a row.
“It’s no surprise that Bill continues to be recognized for his incredible client service initiatives,” said Chambliss President and Managing Shareholder Mark Cunningham. “Being named a BTI Client Service All-Star demonstrates the dedication he has to his practice, clients, and professionalism.”
Bill was recognized for his work in labor and employment law. He serves as labor and trial counsel for some of the Chattanooga area’s largest companies and has successfully defended high stakes business and employment cases in multiple states. He has consistently been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© for labor and employment law and litigation. He was also recognized by Best Lawyers as the Chattanooga Labor and Employment Litigation Lawyer of the Year in 2015 and the Chattanooga Employment Law-Management Lawyer of the Year in 2016.
In recognition of his work as a litigator, Pickering has been elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a past president of the Chattanooga Bar Association and a member of the Tennessee and Chattanooga Bar Foundations.
