Matt serves employers of all types and sizes on a wide range of employment and labor related matters, including federal and state workplace laws and regulations compliance, and defends employers in the event of litigation. He assists employers with daily issues in running a successful business including hiring, firing and discipline of employees, discrimination and retaliation in the workplace, harassment, employee leave, state and federal wage-and-hour laws, reasonable accommodations, and administrative charges involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), among others. In addition, Matt helps clients develop and create policies and procedures, including drafting company guidelines and employee handbooks to limit or avoid employment-related litigation. Matt is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group and a Chattanooga native.
