David Hunter provides counsel to individuals and businesses on a broad spectrum of tax, corporate, and business law matters. Formerly with Ernst & Young, David has a rich background in public accounting which helps him guide clients on the complex tax aspects of business succession and wealth planning, acquisition and disposition of business interests, and tax controversy matters. David advises clients on the formation and operation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies. He also negotiates and drafts sophisticated business arrangements and merger and acquisition transactions. David frequently collaborates with his clients' CPAs, financial and business advisors, and colleagues in other sections of the firm to formulate and implement tax and business planning strategies.
David works with clients throughout a number of different industries including real estate, health care, and food and beverage. With a LL.M. degree in taxation, David has extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws, and his career experience is advantageous for Chambliss clients.
