David Hill Retires After 25 Years at Chambliss, Over 45 Years Practicing Intellectual Property Law
After 25 years with Chambliss and more than 45 years of practicing law, it is bittersweet to announce David Hill’s retirement effective December 31, 2021. David began his career with Alcoa in Pittsburgh and later joined Stophel and Stophel before the firm merged with Chambliss & Bahner in 1997. A registered patent attorney with a practice focused on intellectual property matters, David counseled individual inventors to leading global companies on patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, licensing agreements, and just about any area of intellectual property you can imagine.
Throughout his time at the firm, he served as Intellectual Property section chair, a shareholder, a leader, a mentor, and a friend. We thank David for his many contributions and leadership to Chambliss, and we wish him the very best in his retirement!
“David single-handedly founded the Intellectual Property Group at Chambliss 25 years ago. During his years at the firm, the IP Group flourished, and he leaves us with a proud legacy. We are grateful for his leadership and commitment to the firm.” – Paul Weidlich, Intellectual Property Chair and Shareholder
