Dana Perry Inducted as Fellow of American Bar Foundation
Dana Perry has been inducted as a Fellow of the American Bar Association’s global honorary society, the Fellows. Membership in the Fellows is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction and is dictated by peer nomination as well as election by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.
Dana is recognized as a Fellow for the American, Tennessee, and Chattanooga Bar Foundations. In addition, she is consistently included in Mid-South Super Lawyers® and Best Lawyers in America® in the fields of estate planning and elder law and is currently named as the 2020 Chattanooga Lawyer of the Year in the field of estate planning.
Dana, a shareholder at Chambliss, is one of only a handful of Certified Elder Law Attorneys in the southeast region qualified by the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF) to serve elders and their families. She has been licensed as an Elder Law Specialist by NELF since 1997. Dana also is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs and a member of both the Academy of Special Needs Planners and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Dana leads an interdisciplinary team, offering Chambliss clients a holistic set of services including elder law services, estate planning, care coordination, government benefits attainment, conservatorships and guardianships, special needs planning, family business succession planning, and more. Chambliss is approaching its fourth year of hosting the Embrace Aging Forum, which was a vision brought to life by Dana and her team to connect regional resources in aging to individuals and their loved ones.
Dana serves on numerous civic boards in the Chattanooga community and also is currently the Finance Vice President and an Executive Committee member of Meritas, a worldwide alliance of more than 190 independent law firms in more than 95 countries, of which Chambliss is a long-time member.
“I am honored to be recognized by my peers and the Board of the American Bar Foundation as a Fellow,” Dana said. “Since the start of my career, I have dedicated my practice to serving my clients and community with the highest levels of service, care, and professionalism.”
