Chambliss Represents Hospice of Chattanooga and Its Four-State Network in Sale to Care Hospice
Jim Catanzaro, Doug Griswold, and Jared Adams recently advised and represented Hospice of Chattanooga and its parent company Alleo Health System in the sale to Care Hospice, a for-profit entity with over 80 locations in 15 states across the country. Care Hospice, based in Charlottesville, Virginia, is assuming operations for the nonprofit Hospice of Chattanooga and its four-state network. The transition is expected to provide seamless patient services. The Hospice Foundation Board which operated Hospice of Chattanooga will be transitioning to “identify new opportunities to enhance community health care,” according to the official press release. Chambliss has advised Hospice of Chattanooga for decades and provided counsel in its acquisitions over the last few years, seeing the nonprofit rapidly grow in geographic reach and revenue.
“We appreciate Hospice of Chattanooga’s trust in our firm over the last several years and look forward to assisting them in the next steps in serving our community,” said Jim Catanzaro, lead counsel for the deal. “Tracy and the team are like family to us, and we are pleased and honored to help guide them through this significant transition.”
