Chambliss Advises Winter Innovations in Patenting Award-Winning EasyWhip
Congratulations to our client Lia Winter and her team on winning first place at this year’s “Brown-Forman Cardinal Challenge,” a prestigious business plan and pitch competition that is hosted annually by the University of Louisville. Lia is the founder of Winter Innovations and is the inventor of EasyWhipTM, a patent-pending two-part needle that simplifies and improves graft preparations in orthopedic surgeries. Representing the University of Tennessee, Lia beat out MBA and graduate students from other world-leading university entrepreneurship programs and took home the grand prize of $15,000. Our intellectual property group had the pleasure of meeting her at the 36|86 Entrepreneurship Festival and later advising on IP matters related to EasyWhipTM. We wish her well as she competes in the upcoming “Stu Clark Investment Competition” at the University of Manitoba in Canada.
