Amy Boulware Offers Insight in ‘Dealing With Aging Parents and Independence’
Amy Boulware, Chambliss elder law and special needs care manager, was quoted in the Times Free Press article ‘Dealing With Aging Parents and Independence’ authored by Julie Baumgardner. In the article Baumgardner discusses the challenges that come with supporting aging parents and adult children, as well as the best ways to manage the care of loved ones and how to make informed decisions on behalf of them. ‘I always like to focus on the things that are necessary for aging parents to stay as independent as possible,’ says Amy. ‘If we can help parents think about the things that are becoming more difficult for them such as going to the grocery store, cooking, or keeping the house clean, then we can develop a plan to remove some of the burdens and help them stay independent.’ Click here to read the full article.
