Steve Barham Honored with Outstanding Service Award for Boy Scouts of America
Steve Barham, Chambliss Litigation Section Chair, was awarded the 2018 Silver Beaver Award for outstanding service to the Cherokee Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). The Silver Beaver is the highest honor a local Council may award to adult volunteers, and it recognizes Scouters who have demonstrated exceptional service to the Council.
An Eagle Scout, Steve has been actively involved in the Boy Scouts program as a youth or adult for over 30 years. He served on the Cherokee Area Council Board from 2009 through 2017, and acted in numerous positions such as chair of the Leadership Division of the Friends of Scouting campaign and member of the Board’s Investment Committee. He currently serves as an assistant scoutmaster to Troop 82, as well as an advisor for youth leaders in the local Lodge of the Order of the Arrow, which is the National Honor Society of the BSA.
We offer Steve congratulations on the recognition of his exceptional work and longstanding dedication to serving his community!
