MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Description

Growing mid-size law firm providing comprehensive legal services on behalf of an impressive list of local, regional, national, and international clients seeks a Marketing and Business Development Specialist. The Specialist will report directly to the Marketing Manager. The Specialist will be responsible for brand management, marketing communications, marketing operations, and events in support of business development and marketing efforts across the firm.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation and execution of the firm’s marketing and business development strategy
  • Develop and execute the firm’s social media strategy including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Monitor the continuous improvement of the content and design of the firm's website, including providing substantive content and edits
  • Draft various written communications, including but not limited to press releases, marketing collateral, request for proposals, capabilities decks, and website content
  • Work with attorneys on business development efforts by maintaining contact with attorneys, conducting appropriate follow-up efforts, and coordinating with other resources as needed
  • Conduct market and industry research to support attorneys in business development efforts
  • Work with internal team and external consultants to oversee the content development, production, and placement of all firm collateral, such as advertising and brochures
  • Track attorney business development/marketing efforts and prepare reports for Marketing and Business Development Director and firm management
  • Manage sponsorship requests and fulfillment of obligations, including filling tables, ensuring tickets are used, etc.
  • Build and maintain up-to-date client/prospect databases for marketing and business development efforts
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of client seminars, webinars, conferences, and firm-sponsored events
  • Contribute to firm public and media relations efforts
  • Provide strategy and creative direction on marketing campaigns
  • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, and assess against KPIs
  • Manage strategic relationships with key industry players, agencies and vendors
  • Remain current with latest trends and best practices of online marketing and measurement

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, concentration in marketing, communications, or business preferred
  • Two to five years’ experience in marketing, communications, business development, or related field
  • CRM, CMS, and marketing automation experience required
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics)
  • Experience with SEO/SEM preferred
  • Presenting project work portfolio or samples with resume is recommended
