Andrew Mutter is a member of the firm's litigation section and co-chairs the firm's Cybersecurity Group. Andrew practices as a general commercial litigator with a focus in insurance coverage disputes, cybersecurity issues, class actions, and high-stakes litigation. Before returning to his hometown of Chattanooga, Andrew was an associate in the Atlanta office of King & Spalding.
In his practice, Andrew has helped various clients recover millions of dollars in insurance proceeds through mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Andrew also helps clients proactively review their risks and insurance policies in order to obtain the best coverage for their particular business needs, whether under D&O, CGL, professional liability, and cybersecurity insurance programs.
Additionally, as co-chair of the firm's Cybersecurity Group, Andrew specializes in helping clients of all sizes negotiate the ever-changing world of cybersecurity and data privacy. Andrew assists clients in reviewing their cybersecurity risks and protocols, creating and updating incident response plans, responding to cyber incidents, and obtaining cyber insurance coverage.
As a general litigator, Andrew has also represented national, regional, and local companies in multi-million dollar class actions, complex commercial disputes, and other high-stakes litigation.
Before attending law school, Andrew was a Teach For America teacher in the Mississippi Delta, where he taught English.
